Four on the Floor

Over the past few weeks, I also rediscovered my love for Mr. Canoehead a sketch by a group ( The Frantics ) that had a show in Canada called Four on the Floor.

"The show's most famous character was Mr. Canoehead, a quintessentially Canadian superhero: on a canoeing trip in Algonquin Park, he was hit by lightning while portaging his aluminum canoe, which became permanently welded to his head. As a crime fighter, he would capture criminals by turning around so that the canoe knocked them over."

The show paved the way for sketch comedy in Canada and heavily influenced the Kids In The Hall. I would love to find this show on DVD. However such a dream might be impossible. MR. Canoehead is a Canadian Hero and as such should receive the royal CBC treatment he deserves. It's time to release Four on the Floor and it's entire single season on DVD.
