Follow my logic during this segment. Drug companies spend millions looking like saints on TV. Showing much they care. If they really cared. Cancer would have been cured years ago. The reality is there's no money in a cure. However in years and years of treatment there's leprechaun's fucking cauldron full of yummy corporate dollars!
These companies make money off your suffering and pain. It's really shameful.
Pfizer alone has an Annual Revenue: $48.4 billion ($12.9 billion is pure profit).
Why do I hate drug companies. Because of this.
Why no mainstream media web page stories? why when I search for this, I can't find it. Why?
Funny no mainstream media websites, only forums and other blogs. Yet the news story was on msnbc.
Oh and lets not forget the latest slap in the face. The fact that scientists at the university of Alberta found a cheap and easy to produce drug that kills almost all cancers.
Doesn't this sound like something you would see on the front page of every paper?
The drug is dichloroacetate, and because it is already used to treat children with metabolic disorders. Yet the dug companies ignore it. Why, because this drug happens to be very cheap because it has no patent.
Drug companies will probably no invest in the study required to bring this to the common peasant because they won't make a profit on it. It's cheap, safe enough that we already give it to fucking children and totally ignored.
The University estimates that it would take around 15 years and over 1 billion dollars to get approval from the FDA for use in the United States. Let's look at Pfizers profits again.
Annual Revenue: $48.4 billion ($12.9 billion is pure profit).
Wow loose one billion for one year, wouldn't be that big of a hit for one company in order to help millions of people around the world wouldn't it.
