Ottawa Vs Pittsburg - Game 1

It's like a darn curse for this guy. Sidney Crosby hasn't scored a goal during a regular season game in Ottawa, ever. He's been consistently shut down by Ottawa's defense. This is good for the Ottawa Senators if they have any hopes of making deep into the playoffs. It's a surprising stat that the explosive, sometimes unstoppable Sidney Crosby can't score a goal if he wanted to in Ottawa. No only that, his goals against Ottawa in Pittsburgh are awfully low.

Two goals, 11 assists.
Zero goals in Ottawa, eat it and like it!

This is all due to the shut down pairing of Anton Volchenkov and Chris Phillips. They have done an excelent job of shutting down Sid the kid in almost every single game.

As you can see the shut down team is has been working well for some time now. Imagine facing Pittsburgh without Sidney Crosby. That's the reality, whenever Crosby hits the ice in Ottawa. That is also why Ottawa (when they want to of course) could pull off the biggest upset of the 2010 playoffs.
